Campbellsville University Broadcast Studio Obtains LynTec Power Control System
University of Campbellsville in Campbellsville, Ky., has partnered with JCA Media to select LynTec, a manufacturer of electrical power control solutions for professional audio, video and lighting (AVL) systems, provide products for the university broadcast studios. Integration company JCA Media has already installed LynTec’s lighting control panels in other buildings around the campus. Based on these previous experiences, the company installed the Remote control brake panel as a circuit-level user-friendly zoned control mechanism in the TV broadcast studios of the university’s mass communication center.
“We consistently use the company’s LCRP retrofit boxes for churches that are replacing their old-fashioned dimming systems with LEDs, where they need to be able to have DMX relays to disable their circuits,” said Alex Peake, specialist in the integration of JCA Media. “LynTec has always been a great solution for us. It’s 100% reliable, and they have great customer support who always take the time to explain to me any questions I might have. It was the perfect answer for the college television studio.

The Single Panel RPC provides the ability to work with a number of control platforms such as DMX, HTTP, Telnet, sACN, RS-232, and BacNET. It offers features like circuit protection, power management, on / off control and power sequencing. The RPC is programmed for three zones, comprising the two studios and the control room. It offers blackout protection as well as over-voltage and under-voltage protection, sends notifications and allows remote monitoring.
