Mahindra Bolero Neo N10 variant upgrades to the smaller Kenwood touchscreen infotainment system

  • The Kenwood infotainment system includes Bluetooth, radio, and AUX and USB connectivity.

  • It allows steering wheel controls for calls and music.

  • It’s slightly smaller and lacks vehicle information, alerts, and BlueSense app support.

  • The top-of-the-line N10 (O) will retain the 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system.

  • Existing N10 orders / reservations will be updated with the new unit

  • Now all orders will benefit from the Kenwood infotainment system.

  • The Bolero Neo N10 is currently selling for Rs 10.30 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The Mahindra Bolero Neo went on sale in July this year as a more premium alternative to the Bolero. But the automaker was forced to take that “premium” quotient slightly down a notch for the N10 variant by switching to a smaller 6.8-inch Kenwood touchscreen infotainment system in place of the previous unit. of 7 inches.

So why this sudden downgrading in some way? Well, the automaker claims this is due to a global chip shortage. Fortunately, the top-of-the-line N10 (O) will continue with the larger touchscreen infotainment system.

The Kenwood 6.8 inch touchscreen infotainment system is equipped with the usual necessities such as Bluetooth, radio and AUX and USB connectivity. It also allows steering wheel controls to accept calls or change music tracks. That said, vehicle information such as fuel meter, car information, door / hood open alerts, and DRL on / off commands will be ignored. The N10 will also miss the support for the BlueSense app present in the N10 (O).

If you have already ordered / booked the N10, you will be notified in advance of the change to the smaller infotainment system. Of course, new orders from now on will only get the new unit.

Currently, the Mahindra Bolero Neo N10 sells for Rs 10.30 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). So far, there has been no news of the automaker cutting prices to switch to the new aftermarket unit. The Bolero Neo is a robust alternative to monohull SUVs like the Kia Sonet, Aunty nexon, Mahindra XUV300, Hyundai website, Ford EcoSport, and Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza.
