At the just-concluded NAB 2022 show in Las Vegas, NETGEAR announced a few additions to its M4250 network switch product series.
NETGEAR says integrators are configuring these new switches with just a few mouse clicks for AV-over-IP applications, including digital signage, corporate conference rooms and more. The first of two M4250 network switches is the M4250-9G1F-PoE+ (GSM4210PD). NETGEAR says this fanless network switch is designed for audio installations. The switch includes eight 1G PoE+ ports, along with another standard 1G port and an SFP port for uplinks.
The other new M4250 network switch is the M4250-8G2XF-PoE+ (GSM4210PX). The company explains that this switch features adjustable fans, as well as eight 1G PoE+ ports and two additional SFP+ ports for high-bandwidth uplinks to support video installations.
Along with the pair of new switches, the global networking company also announced its NETGEAR Engage Controller app.
According to the company, the NETGEAR Engage Controller app builds on the GUI of the 4250 product line by giving integrators the ability to configure AV over IP-enabled network switches with just a few mouse clicks.
