New Yorker Electronics acquires Switches Unlimited

NORTHVALE, NJ – New Yorker Electronics, Co. Inc., a global franchise distributor of passive electronic components, discrete semiconductors and supply chain services, announced Wednesday the acquisition of Switches Unlimited Inc., a distributor specialized in electromechanical products based in Long Island City. and automation controls for the broadest range of markets, including industrial, military, medical, and food and beverage markets.

The new wholly owned subsidiary will continue to operate as Switches Unlimited.

A long-established distributor of electronic components for new designs and replacements, Switches Unlimited specializes in panel design, automation controls as well as direct replacement of obsolete parts. The company maintains a complete, ready-to-ship inventory of switches, relays, timers, circuit breakers, enclosures, terminal blocks and transformers. Also stored are level, liquid, proximity and photoelectric controls. A full line of MIL-SPEC parts is also listed.

Among the more than 25 manufacturer parts listed are IDEC, Turck, Carling, Hammond, nVent Hoffman, Schmersal, Carlo Gavazzi, WERMA, NKK, Leuze, Conta-Clip, CIT, Adalet and Solico.
