VCU Health moves from Cerner to Epic EHR

Commonwealth of Virginia University Health System will deploy a new EHR EHR system on its network on December 4.

All VCU Health hospitals and clinics will go live on Dec. 4, Epic, with the exception of VCU Health Tappahannock Hospital (Va.) And its Warsaw site, which will roll out the new system in March 2022, according to a December 1 press release.

“As a result of the move to Epic, care at VCU Health will be faster and easier than ever, and our patient experience will be better than today,” said Nathan Cunningham, director of patient experience at VCU Health System. . in the press release.

VCU Health will also deploy the Epic MyChart patient portal, where patients can book appointments, pay their bills and send messages to their providers online.

VCU Health includes four hospitals and four clinics across Virginia.
